Breaking the Glass – Store – Jewish Wedding Judaica

Breaking the Glass Shop Judaica!

breaking the glass

It was always known as the Groom’s Breaking the Glass at the end of every Jewish Wedding Ceremony. Traditional Jewish, secular, and culturally Jew-ish connected wedding ceremonies under the Chuppah canopy needs a breaking glass.  Its tradition!  They are available in shapes, colors, with accents and designs. Breaking the glass creates that joyous moment to signal wedding guests with shouts of Mazel Tov!

Wedding Fun
This custom is clearly marked with the excitement as a wedding couple becomes married.  Family and friends look forward to watching the person or the couple make every effort when breaking the glass.  Even when it is missed and finally breaks after the second or third time.  Often times, it is quite amusing.  For the groom’s, it is the heal of shoe that assists in breaking it easier.  An outdoor wedding on grass, sand, or uneven ground will make it challenging.  It needs a hard surface in breaking the glass.  An indoor wedding with a thick cushioning carpet can keep the person at it more than a few times.  No matter how many times to break, and when it does, the celebration begins!  The couple seals all with a kiss!
