Simchat Torah 2014

October 15, 2014 By jwrdirector

Its Almost Here!
Its Almost Here!

SIMCHAT TORAH
Simcha! Joyous! The Celebration of the Torah

Who’s going to dance around 7 times with the Torah tonight?

For those in NYC – it has been shared with me that the West Side is one happening area for Simchat Torah. The streets are packed celebrating the Giving of the Torah.

When you attend the Temple Services in Reform Congregations, the Torah is unrolled and held up with fingertips by the adults. The Children are in the middle looking on.

Who Remembers? – the Last few Lines of Torah is read in one breath and then the Reader must find the First few Lines of Torah and read in that same breath. The symbolism is so Torah is read in one continuous cycle

Chag Sameach!
