Shabbat Shalom!

Shabbat Shalom, A peaceful time to start the weekend
Shabbat Shalom, A peaceful time to start the weekend

Shabbat Shalom!

A peaceful time to start the weekend.  Shabbat Shalom is the greeting that is exchanged to one another either before or during Shabbat.

The time set aside at the end of a week for those Jewish and those that have chosen Judaism.   Do you have to be Jewish to enjoy the greeting.  Not at all as most of us pray for peace in the World we live in.

Shabbat is spent in so many ways these days.  What was once the always do custom, was to attend Shabbat prayer services.  A time of focus, prayer and community gathering.  The percentage is high to those not belonging to a temple to observe that custom.  Although, you need not belong to attend prayer services.  So, it is observed with gathering of family and friends.   Or a time for rest from a long, busy week.

However you spend Shabbat, just remember, it arrives each week.  A time to look foward; a time to hope; a time for prayer; a time for rest; a time for peace.

Shabbat Shalom!
