Simon, Taken On Our Alaskan Cruise Sept 14th, 2001

Words don’t begin to express how much you are loved and missed. You were taken so young from us. Your light will always shine in our family. See you one day my Love. I will never forget a year before on Sept 11th, 2001 both sat on the bed watching terror and devastation unfolding, I was crying and feeling so sad for everyone involved and their families who lost their Husband, Wife, Children, etc, and thinking how they go on from this. and how alone they must feel when they lose loved ones. Little did we know that 2 months later my husband would be diagnosed with Colon Cancer and a year and a week after 9/11 my Husband would lose his life & battle with Cancer. 3 days after 9/11 we had gone on an Alaskan cruise. ours was one of the only ones leaving due to what just happened but we were only going just into Alaska so ours was ok to leave. this Cruise was to celebrate our 26th Anniversary that was on Sept 19th. He died the day before our 27th Wedding Anniversary. It’s 9 yrs later now and even though I am in another relationship. I Miss my Husband more than anyone will know. I look forward to seeing you again one day my love.

Loving Wife Joan Bloch
