Helping Hands in these uncertain times when gathering is questionable, but extending is a Mitzvah.
Helping Hands Welcome to Chavurah L’dor V’dor Congregation
Chavurah = Community + L’dor V’dor = from Generation to Generation + Congregation = Congregating together
A Community from Generation to Generation Congregating Together
Formed – Rabbi Andrea Frank, Rabbi and Founding Director, July 2014
The logo was created with symbolism in the design in a fluid motion. A Torah Scroll with numbers seven and eighteen. Eighteen for Chai, L’Chaim To Life! The candle flames are the lights that give us the warmth of comfort in our hearts. Each of us connects to the lights in our own way.
Chavurah L’dor V’dor Congregation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Jewish organization and is supported by donations and grants.
Gathering, for now, maybe on pause, but connecting never stopped. Online has made it possible to stay in touch. Helping hands has always been the motto of Jewish teachings. It is a timeless act that never ages. If not here, and that is okay, keep it going, extend yourself no matter how small or how large.
- Your donation will assist a family with a Shiva Meal after someone special passes on.
- It could assist to pay for groceries for a few weeks.
- When a recipient receives helping hands, an email will be sent informing on how each donation was used.
Times are different, Chavurah L’dor V’dor extends to others with your help.
The Donate button is set up in Pay Pal for Tax-Deductible Donations.
